Blue Note Jazz Club announces Chris Botti’s vacation home

The Blue Note Jazz Club of New York has announced the return of Grammy Award-winning master trumpeter and composer Chris Botti to the Blue Note stage for his 17th annual vacation home.

From December 6 to January 2, Botti will perform two shows per night at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET. The program includes performances on Christmas and New Year’s Eve, which will ring in 2022 and close Blue Note’s historic 40th anniversary celebration.

Since 1981, the Blue Note Jazz Club has been a cultural institution in New York City. Fans have been eagerly awaiting Botti’s return to the Blue Note Jazz Club from his last vacation home in 2019. Previous concerts have seen the jazz-pop powerhouse’s usual Gold and Platinum albums, coupled with the usual surprise visits and cameos from Blue Note celebrities including Sting, John Mayer, Caroline Campbell and Veronica Swift. Following the 15-month closure of the jazz club due to the pandemic, this year promises even more surprises and star power.

Speaking not only for me but also for my band, this is the concert that we look forward to all year, ”Botti said. “Blue Note is the best jazz club in the world, in the best city, at the best time of year. We’ve been doing this for 17 years, and to come up with such an amazing environment with fans all over the world, many who saw us in different cities around the world earlier that year, and then come to our concert at the Blue Note is a very special feeling. We hope this will never end.

The Chris Botti vacation home at Blue Note has become an iconic New York tradition. We are very happy to be able to announce the return of this month-long celebration which also coincides with our 40th anniversary.
